Ms. Bentlee alleges that the pathologist was negligent when making an allegedly wrongful finding that a tissue biopsy taken of her was malignant when in fact it was benign. Ms. Bentlee underwent chemotherapy and surgery as a result of the diagnosis and experienced significant complications and disruption to her life as a result of the chemotherapy and surgery.
