Brad is an experienced advocate whose practice focuses on complex commercial disputes, regulatory proceedings, and professional discipline matters. Having served as counsel, prosecutor, and adjudicator, he brings a practical and balanced perspective to resolving disputes at every stage, from initial investigation and negotiation through to trial, appeal, and administrative hearings.

Brad acts for a broad range of clients, including entrepreneurs, financial institutions, real estate developers, construction companies, technology businesses, and regulated professionals. His professional regulation experience spans matters involving nurses, mortgage brokers, realtors, accountants, insurance brokers, immigration consultants, optometrists, and police officers. He also provides prosecutorial and adjudicative services to professional regulatory bodies and regularly advises businesses and professionals navigating investigations and regulatory oversight. In select matters, he defends individuals facing charges under the Criminal Code. Notably, Brad recently represented a client in connection with the Commission of Inquiry into Money Laundering in British Columbia.

Brad began his career at a leading British Columbia law firm before joining the British Columbia Prosecution Service as trial Crown Counsel. In that role, he conducted numerous trials in both the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the Provincial Court of British Columbia involving serious and complex offences, including murder, accessory after the fact to murder, fraud, sexual assault, robbery, and dangerous driving causing death. He also appeared on summary conviction appeals and before the British Columbia Review Board.

In addition to his advocacy practice, Brad has distinct experience adjudicating disputes under the Workers Compensation Act and both adjudicating and mediating sports-related disputes. These quasi-judicial roles have refined his ability to assess evidence, isolate core legal issues, and advance practical, effective resolutions.

Outside his practice, Brad has devoted many years to serving not-for-profit organizations in the sectors of health care, sport, and the arts, frequently serving as an executive member of their boards of directors.
