Elyse Loewen is building a diverse civil litigation practice at SMR.
After graduating from Dalhousie University at the top of her class and finishing her clerkship at BC’s highest court, Elyse joined the British Columbia Ministry of Attorney General, where she gained experience in administrative law, criminal law and civil litigation. She looks forward to putting these skills to good use in private practice and working hard to achieve the best possible outcome for clients.
She plans use her experience as a legal research assistant, published author in academic journals, literature teaching assistant and professional violinist to develop sound and compelling arguments for her clients and deliver them with conviction.
Outside of work, Elyse enjoys playing violin, reading very long fantasy books, and keeping her barista skills sharp.
