In 1988, Rick Sugden asked Robin McFee and Albert Roos to join him and start a new firm. Sugden, McFee & Roos opened its doors for business on October 31 of that year and has grown to a team of 20, including 11 lawyers.
Rick retired from the practice of law in 2004 and passed away in January 2009. He was respected and admired by fellow lawyers and judges for his ability to combine his noteworthy skills as an advocate with civility and good humour. Rick's generosity as a volunteer and, in particular, the help he provided other lawyers in difficult times remains his lasting legacy.
Rick was instrumental in establishing and growing the excellent reputation that Sugden, McFee & Roos enjoys today. Our team of litigators has an established record of success, sound judgement and professional expertise and is dedicated to maintaining the standards of excellence for which we have been known since 1988.
